Transmission Verification Report Updates

NatPay has reworked the layout of the Transmission Verification Reports to make them easier to read, and to provide our customers with more useful information. The same information is still represented on the reports, but the location of some the information has changed as well as some of the report’s column headers.

Please note the changes outlined below:

  1. The total withdrawal amount that was originally shown in the Notes section at the top of the report is now clearly shown in the Transmission Details section below the Notes section.
  2. The Total Deposit Amount is now clearly shown next to the Total Withdrawal Amount in the Transmission Details section.
  3. In the Line Items section, the column titled Deposit Date is now titled Effective Entry Date.
  4. The Deposit Account Type column has been renamed Transaction Type, and now shows the account type, and whether the transaction is a deposit or withdrawal.
  5. Offset Entries are now included in the Line Items section.

UPDATE: Payroll Funding Withdrawal Descriptions

NatPay constantly strives to improve security, and to streamline our processes so that we may continue providing the best possible ACH services. NatPay is excited to announce enhanced payroll funding withdrawal descriptions!

The new withdrawal descriptions now feature a description specific to each NatPay account that includes the unique NatPay account number.

An example of the new descriptions is shown below:

NATPAY-########

Please note that NatPay is currently rolling out the updates, and that all descriptions might not update at the same time.

In some cases, security restrictions may be in place on certain bank accounts that will require the appropriate bank to be notified about the new withdrawal description combination shown above. If this is the case, please contact the bank and let them know that any entry marked with the above description combination is legitimate.

NatPay Announces Extended Hours for Growing Number of ACH Customers

NatPay's New Extended Hours

Tampa, FL (February 10, 2012) – In order to accommodate a thriving West Coast customer base as well as provide valuable processing time to customers in all time zones, National Payment Corporation (NatPay) recently adopted a new operating schedule that gives payroll administrators more time to process their payroll.

“Based on our current growth, we’ve expanded our hours as a convenience to our ACH customers. They can now upload ACH payroll files until 8:50 p.m. ET starting February 13th, 2012. Customer support and technical support access has also been extended. In the past, we’ve gotten great feedback from our customers when NatPay has extended its hours before, especially from our friends on the West Coast, so naturally we are very excited about increasing our hours of operation once again,” explains Mark Williams, NatPay’s Marketing Director.

Many organizations have already made the switch to direct deposit and paperless pay stubs, but some still struggle to meet payroll submission deadlines. By extending their operating hours, NatPay is better able to accommodate growth into larger segments of the payroll processing ACH market. The new schedule also provides a critical advantage over traditional banking-based direct deposit models that force customers to adapt to standard banking hours, thereby failing to address the need for after-hours processing and live assistance – a key service that many banks simply cannot offer.

Since 1991, NatPay has become one of the nation’s largest independent Direct Deposit service providers. Today it remains one of the nation’s leading providers for all ACH distribution solutions. NatPay’s suite of paperless distribution solutions continues to expand, and now includes custom online document management solutions, online pay stubs, pay cards for employees without bank accounts, W-2s and other tax forms, electronic invoicing, and online billing with Click-To-Pay capabilities. By utilizing a fully-customizable SaaS (Software as a Service) platform that is SSAE 16 SOC 1 audited, NatPay’s ACH distribution services are safe, secure, and save employers time and money by eliminating tedious printing and envelope-stuffing processes.

“Per the recent changes to NACHA rules and regulations, NatPay fully understands that their customers need more time to get their work done since many are being asked to do more with less staff and fewer resources. NatPay simply wants to help their customers by giving them more time to send in their ACH files, and by giving them peace of mind that all compliance issues and and audit requirements are taken care of for them since NatPay has just completed a successful NACHA audit as well as the SSAE 16 SOC 1 audit,” says Williams.
